Stephanie came to Pilates as a client for the first time in 2017 while working as a professional chef instructor, having never pursued any type of athletic training or hobby. Initially attracted by the intriguingly unique equipment used in Pilates, she gave it a try and fell in love immediately. Discovering the depth and application of the Classical Pilates system quickly became a passion as she was introduced to her body in a brand new way through the magic of the mind-body connection. When Stephanie was ready for a career change, this passion led her to pursue apprenticeship and training through Alycea Ungaro’s 600 hour Real Pilates Teacher Training in New York City to become a third generation Pilates teacher in the lineage of Romana Kryzanowska. Her excitement for the work, eye for precision in movement, and experience in teaching practical skills allows her to meet her clients wherever they are and build from there.
Stephanie enjoys the opportunity to help clients new to fitness discover the beauty, depth and physical and mental benefits of Pilates. She also loves advancing established athletes and clients to deepen their practice while guiding them to continually discover new strengths and benefits of the Classical Pilates system. Stephanie’s calm and steady encouragement and welcoming nature allow her to connect with her clients to provide a personalized experience based on individual needs and goals. When not at the studio, Stephanie can be found cooking, baking, doing puzzles, listening to podcasts, and enjoying family life with her husband, 3 kids, 3 cats, dog, parents, church, friends and community. She still teaches cooking classes for home cooks every once in a while, too.
