Mat Training Certification
Ready to get Pilates Mat Certified? If you are ready to take yourself for a test-drive as a Pilates instructor, our Mat System Training is the ideal first step. While some may choose to dive into the full comprehensive training with all of the equipment, the complete Mat System Training is the ideal first step for many to build a new skill or expand an existing one. Five levels of Mat exercises over 100 hours will prepare you to sit for the national certification exam should you elect to do so.
Whether you are looking to explore the Pilates profession or add to your fitness toolkit, this is an ideal option.
This program requires one 18 hour weekend in NYC at Real Pilates, and follow up hours at the Pilates Lab in ST. Louis totaling 100 Hours. Complete the program within 60 days and test-out.

Training on the original apparatus
To teach the Classical work you have to train on the original equipment design. For decades Real Pilates® has had a close working relationship with the original manufacturer of Joseph Pilates’ designs, Gratz®.
Due to the academic intensity of our Pilates certification program, and the mentoring needed, The Pilates Lab will only accept four apprentices per training cycle.
