Amy first experienced Pilates in 2005. It was different to anything she had done before. After just a few classes she recognized its principles and movement patterns promoted overall balanced strength and body awareness.
Through subsequent years of Pilates practice and study she developed a passion to share this work. Amy completed a comprehensive
certification through the Physical Mind Institute of New York in 2011, followed by a Pilates Method Alliance Certification in 2018. She is a graduate of Alycea Ungaro’s Real Pilates Teaching Training program in New York City 2022 and is a third generation teacher.
Amy is passionate about connecting and pushing people to their potential. She uses the system and nuanced approaches to teach intentional movement. She has experience working with a wide variety of client types: athletes, healthy everyday bodies, pre/postnatal, and people with ailments from sport, diseases, injury, and bodily wear. Her clients gain undiscovered strength, endurance, and a more balanced body. She continues to deepen her practice and knowledge of the method as a forever student.
